Master Roland B. Hudgins
The death angel visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hallie Hudgins, of Blakes and took away their little son, Roland Bassett, four years old. He had been sick for a few weeks. All that skillful hands could do was done for his relief but the end came on February 22. This was a sad shock to the neighborhood. He leaves to mourn him, his grandparents, Mr. L.P. Hudgins, and Mr. J.W. Bassett; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hallie Hudgins and a little sister, Inez Hudgins.
Funeral services were held at Mathews Chapel Sunday last and the remains were laid to rest in Haynes Cemetery. He joins his two grandmothers and great-grandmother, who died only a few weeks ago.
