Madison: Estelle Colvin Bass, age 87, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014, in Tallahassee, Florida. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Madison Church of God. Burial will follow at San Pedro Cemetery, Madison County, Florida. She was born on November 28, 1926, in Lee, Madison County, Florida, the daughter of the late Thomas Colvin and Rachel Lemons Colvin. She lived all her life in Madison County. She was a homemaker and the wife of a farmer, who was no stranger to hard work. She was a devout Christian and a member of the Madison Church of God. Her Christian influence was felt by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Marvin Eskil Bass of Madison, Florida; 5 sons, Prentiss Bass, Buster (Debbie) Bass, Billy Joe (Linda) Bass, Daniel (Debra) Bass and Dean Bass all of Madison, Florida; one daughter, Kay (Benton) McCarley of Madison, Florida; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives. Beggs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
