A graveside service was to be today at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Garden of Memory with the Rev. George Creel officiating and Brown Service Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Bass was a retired school teacher. Survivors include a son, Alva Wilson Bass of Arab; a daughter, Betty Adele Verchot of Decatur; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was a graduate of Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Ga. She is survived by one son, Alva Wilson Bass of Arab, one daughter, Betty Adele Verchot of Decatur; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
