  Notes	Thursday, April 5, 1956 Harold R. Bassett Harold R. Bassett, 78, of 34 Tempest street, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 27, in his home. He had been under doctor?s care for several years. A resident of Perry for 21 years, he lived alone at that address. Born in Warsaw on Feb. 25, 1878, a son of George M. and Eliza Choate Bassett, he lived in Buffalo and Hamburg most of his life before moving to Perry in 1935. During his active years he had been with the steamboat inspection service on the Great Lakes. Mr. Bassett was a life member of Transportation Lodge F.& A.M., Buffalo, having joined in 1906. He never married. Survivors are a niece, Mrs. Marquerite Calmes, Perry; and two nephews, Marlin Bassett, Warsaw, and Percy R. Bassett of Perry. Services were held from the Conrad Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Firday, with burial in Warsaw cemetery. ?The Rev. John Whiteford of Holy Apostles Episcopal Church officiated. The bearers were grandnephews: Marlin Bassett Jr., Raymond Bassett, Robert Bassett, William Bassett, Robert Burns, Edwin Fisher.
