Excerpt from the Isaac Newton Bassett Autobiography
My Uncle Alexander Bassett was married and settled in Elkhart Co, Indiana. I do no know the maiden name of his wife. He died about 1845. His Children were William, Amos, George, Daniel and some others whose names I do not know. I never saw any of them but Amos who visited us in 1845. He was afterwards married in Michigan and I heard from him by letter in 1870. He was then in Ill. near Bloomington.
