Ruth McDonald Bass
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church for Ruth McDonald Bass, 86, Gadsden, who died Thursday, June 13, 1996. The Rev. Tom Anderson will officiate. Burial in adjoining cemetery. Byrd Funeral Home, Dothan, is in charge.
Mrs. Bass was a native of Dothan and a resident of Gadsden the past four months. She was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church of Dothan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Carl Bass, grandson, Matthew Joiner, one sister and two brothers.
She is survived by her daughter, Paulette (Tom) Arrington, Gadsden; two grandchildren, Marty (Pam) Joiner, Albany, Ga., and Marsha (Jimmy) Miller, Port St. Lucie, Fla.; three great-grandchildren, Anna and Austin Joiner and Patrick Miller; five ste-grandchildren; seven step-greatgrandchildren; sister, Bea Jenkins, Fort Meade, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 this evening.
