GREENSBORO- Mr. James Ernest Bass, 76. of 1420 Rankin Road, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 at his residence.
A native of Guilford County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late John Bass and the late Gussie Ward and the husband of Mrs. LaVita Vincent Bass.
His survivors include his devoted and loving wife, LaVita Vincent Bass of the home; three sons, Garrett Bass, Anthony Bass (Donna) and Phillip Bass, all of Greensboro; one daughter, Jane Bass of Greensboro; god son, Koi Williams of Greensboro; god daughter, Jordan Brizzell of Greensboro and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
His funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 21. 2016 at 11:30am at United True Holiness Church with Pastor Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Saturday at the church from 11:00-11:30am, and at all other times, at the home.
James' public viewing will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Hargett Funeral Home from 1:00-8:00pm.
