Lima - Londa Renee Harvey, 52, passed away on January 8, 2019, at 3:38 a.m., at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.
Londa was born January 29, 1966 in Terrell, Texas, to the late Roy and Willie (Stiggers) Bassett who survives in Terrell, Texas.
Londa graduated from Garland High School in 1984. She was a member of Second Baptist Church where she was very active in doing missionary work. She also loved her church family. Londa worked for twenty years at KMI as a manufacturer. She was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and would always cheer and watch the games. She also loved to be in her garden vegetables and enjoyed planting during the spring time. Londa was a wonderful mother and she was very dedicated to her children, she was always present at all sporting and schooling events. Londa also enjoyed being a grandmother and it brought her great joy being around Elijah.
Londa is survived by her mother, Willie (Stiggers) Bassett of Terrell, Texas, father of children, Demetrius Harvey, Sr. of Lima, Ohio; son, Demetrius Harvey, Jr. of Dallas, Texas; son, Desmond (Kirstin) Harvey of Toledo, Ohio; son, Dominique Harvey of Lima, Ohio; brother, Terrence Bassett of Terrell, Texas; brother, Jerrold Bassett of Terrell, Texas; grandson, Eljah Harvey of Toledo, Ohio; special friend, Phil Harris of Lima, Ohio; cousin, Diane Hunter of Dallas, Texas and several friends, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Second Baptist Church, 520 W Spring Street, Lima, Ohio 45801.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Dennis Ward officiating.
Further arrangements will be held with Thomas and Son Funeral Home in Kaufman, Texas at a later date.
Burial will be in New Oakwood Cemetery, in Terrell, Texas.
