      Jacqueline J. St. Cyr 1939 2008 CHICOPEE Jacqueline J. "Jackie" (Bessette) St. Cyr, 68, of the Fairview section of Chicopee was Called Safely Home on Sunday, October 19, 2008 surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family and friends. She was born in Holyoke on November 23, 1939, a beloved daughter of the late Aimé O. and Annette J. (Turcotte) Bessette. She was raised in Holyoke, graduated from the former Precious Blood Elementary and High Schools and moved to the Fairview section of Chicopee in 1966. She was employed for 28 years as a customer service manager and retired in 2006 as an administrative assistant at the J. Polep Distribution Services of Chicopee. She previously was a secretary at the former Lestoil Company and the E. H. Friederich Company, both in Holyoke. Jackie enjoyed painting at the Holyoke Creative Arts. She was a communicant of Saint Anne Church in Fairview where she was a member of the Senior Choir, a member of the Parish Council and a member of the Saint Anne Sodality Guild. Jackie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who adored her family and showered them with her love and affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. She leaves her beloved husband of 47 years, Paul A. St. Cyr. They were married at the former Precious Blood Church in Holyoke on May 27, 1961 and were blessed with over 47 years of happiness together. She also leaves her loving daughter, Melanie J. Healey and her husband, John of Westfield. Her four cherished grandchildren, J. P., Thomas, Kara and Robert Healey. Her dear brothers and sisters, Raymond Bessette and his wife, Patricia of Naples, FL, Gerald Bessette and his wife, Inge of Mannheim, Germany, Constance Broughear of Belchertown and Muriel Hovaniec of Raleigh, NC. Her dear brother-in-law, Charles R. St. Cyr and his wife, AeNam of Ft. Wayne, IN and her many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her dear sister-in-law, Irene Houle. Her funeral will be held on Saturday morning, October 25, 2008 at 8:45 a.m. from the St. Pierre Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, 506 Britton Street in Chicopee followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street in Chicopee. Her burial will follow the Mass at Saint Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street in Aldenville. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home in the Fairview Chapel on Friday, October 24, 2008 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot is located in the rear of the funeral home. For those who prefer to make a memorial donation, they may be made in her memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
