In The 1880 U S Census of Grove, Madison, Nebraska, Minnesota (Extracted as: Munasia) Bassett is listed as a widow with her two children: Franklin Bassett, age 6, and Lina Bassett, age 3. They were living in the household of Ada's mother Margaret, and stepfather Edwin [or Abram? (p57)]Waterbury, who raised the Bassett children.
