He was 69. Born in Tifton, Ga., on Jan. 27, 1936, he came to Davenport from there in 1947. He was self-employed with Charlie Bass Inc., buying and selling aircraft parts for home-built airplanes and airboats. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Haines City. Mr. Bass is survived by his wife, Sybail L. Bass; son, Michael Bass, Winter Haven; sister, Carol Sue Winterhoff, Orlando; three grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 1001 Grace Ave., Haines City. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel.
