Mrs. Charlee Bassett Freeman
Mrs. Charles Bassett Freeman, 76, of Charlotte died April 20, 1995, at Bud Terrace Nursing Home in Atlanta. Funeral is 3 p.m. Sunday at Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is 7 to 8:30 tonight at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Home.
Mrs. Freeman, a Charlotte native, was a retired clerk secretary for the Department of Social Services. She was a graduate of old Berryhill High School and had attended Montreat Anderson and Kings Business colleges. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Belmont and attended Sharon Baptist Church. Survivors are her son, Carl Freeman of Lake Forest, Calif.; daughter, Mrs. Joan Goodyear of Atlanta; brothers, John Bassett of Deltona, Fla., Dean Bassett; sistersm Mrs. Mary Casper of Stockton, Calif., Mrs. Carrie Shelton of Southern Pines; five grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery Association, 15000 York Rd., Charlotte, NC 28278.
