Roger Andre Bessette, 61, of Goode died Friday, December 27, 2013. He was the loving husband of Pamela Fitzpatrick Bessette.
Born April 10, 1952 in Plainfield, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Laurent and Beatrice Monroe Bessette. Roger retired with Babcock & Wilcox Co. as a manufacturing engineer. He was a member of Timberlake United Methodist Church. Roger was very much a family man and he enjoyed playing golf with the B&W League.
In addition to his wife, Pam, he is survived by a stepdaughter, Amy Whitacre of Goode, brothers, Dr. Robert Bessette and wife, Barbara of Holden, MA, Paul Bessette and wife, Joy of Las Vegas, NV; sisters, Lucille and Bill of Middletown, Ct, Claire Speise and husband, Dick of East Hampton, Ct, Paulette Molis and husband, Jimmy of Lincoln, RI; grandchildren; Dustin and Kirsten Gilbert and Alia Whitacre all of Goode ; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, December 31, 2013 in Virginia Memorial Park conducted by the Rev. Larry Davies. The family will receive friends Monday, December 30, 2013 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
