Helen Scholtz Bassett
Mrs. Bassett passed away September 12, 2007 at her home after an illness of several months. Born in Charlotte October 7, 1925, she was the daughter of Walter Whitten and Lessie Scholtz. She moved to Deltona in 1972. Helen loved her family, friends, her special animal family and flowers. She was a joy to everyone who knew her. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny and brother, Albert Scholtz. Survivors include her sons, Albert Bassett of Charlotte, Greg Bassett and his wife, Mary Lynn of High Springs, FL and David Bassett of Shalotte, NC; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild all of Charlotte. She is also survived by her brother, Whitten Scholtz of Charlotte and sister, Lessie S. Warren of Tampa, FL. Memorial service 11:00 A.M. September 29, 2007 at Deltona United Lutheran Church.
