Wedding of W.G. Boyd, Treasurer of the D.R. Francis Commission
Co., to a Kentucky Belle
William G. Boyd of St. Louis will be married November 27 at Lexington, Ky. The bride-to-be is Mrs. Slaughter Bassett, one of the most beautiful women in that city and the niece of John W. Berkely, at whose home the wedding ceremony will be performed.
The bride's attendant will be Miss Eleanora B. Kenney, and Stephen A. Gore of St. Louis will attend Mr. Boyd. Only the immediate families of the contracting parties will attend the wedding, and after a short visit in Eastern cities Mr. Boyd and his bride will return to St. Louis to make their home at 4040 Delmar boulevard.
Mr. W.G. Boyd is treasurer of the D.R. Francis Commission Company, and has been prominent in the business and social life of St. Louis for many years. He served a term as President of the Merchants' Exchange, and has been closely identified with the progress of the city in many ways.
Mr. Boyd's first wife, who died four years ago, was the sister of ex-Governor D.R. Francis.
