DEATH: William Victor died on Monday the 9th of May, 1904 in a drowning accident on Bear River at a point about one and one-half miles from Collinston [Utah] known as Hampton Bridge. He was in a boat along with his Uncle Richard Bassett and his grandfather Loren Elias Bassett (1844). His grandfather escaped death but Richard and Victor died.
