Arthur Bassett
Mrs. Ella Bassett and three daughters of West Medford who were at their summer cottage here were hastily summoned to St. Luke's hospital at New Bedford on Sunday by the critical illness of the eldest son, Arthur Bassett, who passed away soon after their arrival there.
Mr. Bassett, who resided in West Wareham was taken suddenly ill on Sunday afternoon and was rushed to the hospital suffering from what was thought to be acute indigestion; he lapsed into an unconscious state and passed away in a few hours. By his sudden death there is left to mourn loss, the wife and five children, his mother, six sisters and one brother. Funeral services were held in the chapel of West Wareham on Tuesday at West Wareham on Tuesday afternoon at four o'clock. Internment in Wareham. Sympathy is extended to the family.
