  Notes	Journal Inquirer, August 12, 2017 Bernard P.J. Bessette Bernard P.J. Bessette, 78, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, at home, surrounded by his family. Born in Winooski, Vermont, son of the late Armand and Lea (Santerre) Bessette, he lived in Enfield for 50 years and previously lived in Hartford. Bernard worked for 50 years at Colt Firearms, retiring as a supervisor. He was an arny veteran of the Vietnam War and a communicant of Holy Family Church. He leaves his wife of 54 years, Mary L. (Dorey) Bessette; a son, Steven P. Bessette of Enfield; a daughter and her husband, Shelley M. Bigelli and David M. Bigelli of North Kingstown, Rhode Island; four sisters, Pauline Lee of Vermont, Jeannette Provost of Florida, and Anne Lindsay and Christine Blackmore, both of Vermont; two grandchildren, Sophia Bigelli and Maya Bigelli; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Roger Bessette; and a sister, Claire Brunelle. The funeral will be Tuesday, Aug. 15, at 6 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road. The burial will be private. Calling hours will precede the service from 3 to 6 p.m. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children?s Research Hospital., P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN, 38101-9908.
