  Notes	The Post Star, May 12, 2007 Peter John Bessette Sr. TICONDEROGA - Peter John Bessette Sr., 72, of Ticonderoga, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2007, at the Moses-Ludington Nursing Home of Ticonderoga. Born in Pottersville, N.Y., Dec. 18, 1934, he was the son of the late Lloyd A. and Beatrice (Bennett) Bessette. Mr. Bessette was a resident of Ticonderoga for many years and was employed by Tom Gallo's of Ticonderoga for over 30 years. He then moved to Kingston where he was employed by Montgomery Ward's. He returned to Ticonderoga three years ago. He was predeceased by his son, Peter John Bessette Jr. on May 12, 2003. He was also predeceased by three brothers, Lloyd Bessette, Howard Bessette, and Herbert Bessette. Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Hays of Chestertown and Tammy M. Bessette of Ticondeorga; four sons, Kevin Bessette of Schroon Lake, Timothy M. Bessette of Crown Point, Niles Pond of Ticonderoga, and Charles Pond of Saranac Lake; one brother, George Bessette and his wife, Mary, of Ticonderoga, and one sister, Grace Smith and her husband, Ken, of Putnam Station. He is also survived by many stepchildren, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Monday, May 14, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga. A funeral service will follow on Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. William G. Muench, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Ticonderoga, will officiate. Interment will follow at the family plot of St. Mary's Parish Cemetery of Ticonderoga. Donations in his memory may be made to the Moses-Ludington Nursing Home, 1019 Wicker St., Ticonderoga, NY 12883.
