Olivia Kiernan Bassett: June 1922 - December 2010
Olivia Kiernan Bassett born in San Diego, CA in June 1922, passed away in December 2010, at the age of 88 in Medford, Oregon due to complications of cancer and pneumonia. The daughter of Walter and Kate Kiernan, Ollie as she was known to family and friends, was a long time resident of Coronado; she attended Coronado High School graduating class of 1941. Ollie was a warm and caring woman who valued her family and friends. She had a special love for pets of of all types, and golf. Some of her best days were on the links; she played for many years in Orange County before she and Dan moved back to Coronado where she joined her good friends at Sea and Air, and playd well into her mid-seventies. Proceeded in death by her husband Daniel J. Bassett, (US Navy Ret.), and Sister Kathryn Kiernan Sell. She is survived by her daughter Maggie Dusenberry (Charles), son Bill Bassett (Carol); of Medford, Oregon, six grandchildren, one great granddaughter, Sister Connie Kiernan Warlick (Jack), and three nephews. The family will have services at a later time, burial will be at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.
