Ila Joines

Ila Bass Joines (July 2, 1929 - July 25, 2022) was the daughter of Bloomer B. and Coralee Bass. She graduated Albany High School in 1946. Ila worked for Southern Bell for 39 years and was a member of the AT&T Pioneers. She was married to Winsor "Cotton" Joines for 62 years, both of whom were founding members of Sunnyside Baptist Church. She is survived by daughter, Cathe Howard; granddaughters, Brittany and Kelly; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at Sunnyside Baptist Church on Saturday, August 6 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice or a local animal shelter.
