Born on January 18th, 1955 in Dunn, N.C. to Marlon and Annette Bass. She eventually made her home in Raleigh, N.C. and raised two children. Vickie loved to cook and shared her love of gardening and birds with her grandchildren who she loved very much. She was quite humorous and kept everyone smiling even through her pain until the very end. Vickie is survived by a daughter, Christy Ann Jordan; a son, Christopher Ryan Johnson; a grandson, Nicholas Jordan Avery; a granddaughter, Tabitha Jaden Avery; a brother, Donnie Bass; a sister, Carolyn Perry; along with nieces and nephews; and boyfriend, Joe Gower. A celebration of life is scheduled on her birthday, January 18th, 2022.
