Martin K. Bassett
CANTON – Martin K. Bassett, 87, of Canton RD 1, died Sunday, Aug. 6,
1973, at his home.
He was born in Grover on July 15, 1886, a son of Amos and Matil
Matson Bassett.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. James Best and Mrs. Alice Storrs,
both of Canton, two sons, Kenneth, of Canton, and Wendell, of Canton RD 1, 20
grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
Funeral and committal services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at
Morse’s, 12 East Main Street. Burial will be in Grover Cemeter
The Rev. C. David Jones, pastor of the Canton United Methodist Church,
will officiate.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Main St., Canton. Funeral and Committal services will be held Wednesday at 11
a.m. at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Thomas Logston. Burial in
Grover Cemetery. Survived by two daughters, Mrs. James Best and Mrs. Alice
Storrs, both of Canton; two sons, Kenneth Bassett and Wendell Bassett, both of
Canton; 20 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
