  Notes	The Otsego Farmer, Cooperstown, New York, Thursday, 28 May 1959 Mrs. Crosby J. Smith Mrs. Ruth Jaynes Smith, aged 79, of Gilbertsville died May 13 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A.B. Musson of Gilbertsville. Mrs. Smith was born September 15, 1879, in Sherburne, daughter of Asa W. and Flora (Bassett) Jaynes. She was married to Crosby J. Smith on September 1, 1906, in Norwich. He died March 15, 1949. She lived many years in Norwich. Since her husband’s death, she lived with her daughter, Mrs. Musson, and her son, the Rev. Andrus B. Smith, rector of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Bainbridge. She was a member of Emanuel Episcopal Church in Norwic Surviving are her son and daughter; six grandchildren, Martin, Dorothy, Molly and Scott Musson of Gilbertsville and Andrea and Betsey Smith of Bainbridge, and two nephews. Funeral services were held at 1:15 p.m. Saturday in Christ Episcopal Church in Gilbertsville, with the Rev. Arthur Clum, rector, officiating. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery in Gilbertsville.
