Eula Mae (Dunn) Bassett
Eula Mae Bassett, 89, of Bryan passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, April 19, at Jones-Washington Mortuary. Services are set for 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at First Baptist Church with the Reverend A.O. Mable, officiating. Interment will follow at Wheelock Cemetery. Eula was born on July 13, 1923 in Robertson County to George and Emma Dunn. She attended Wheelock Public Schools and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to church every Sunday and cooking. She was a member of Wheelok Cemetery Association. She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse, James N. Bassett; a daughter, Josephine Bassett; and a son, James W Bassett. Survivors include her sons, Curtis Bassett of Bryan, and Wayne Bassett of Houston; daughters, Carolyn Bassett, Lizzie Bassett and Susie Davis all of Bryan and Mary Satchell of Houston; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
