Pauline Bass Buckner
AMERICUS -- Mrs. Pauline Bass Buckner, age 74, passed away at her residence 129 West Allen Street Leslie, GA. Sunday afternoon April 7, 2013. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. William Hall officiating burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening April 9, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Grandchildren will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
Mrs. Buckner was born August 3, 1938 in Leslie, GA. the daughter of the late Robert James Bass and Judy Bradley DeVane. She was a legal secretary for the Albany Herald for 25 years and worked at Post Office in Leslie, GA. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Leslie, GA.
Mrs. Buckner is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law Terri Lovell [Jim] of Florence, SC. Penny Pace [Tift] of Leslie, GA Son and daughter-in-law Jimmy Black [JoAnn] of Fitzgerald, Ga. Sisters and Brothers-in-law Earlene Felts [Logan] of Leslie, GA Anne Mathews and Sue Thomas of Americus, GA Karen Bell [Todd] of Montana. Four Brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmie Bass [Carol] of Americus, GA, Russell Bass [Judy] of Virginia, Tommy DeVane [Susan] of Oglethorpe, GA. Sister-in-law Carol Bass of Americus, GA. Also surviving Four Grandchildren Jason Lovell wife Summer, Josh Lovell, Ross Black wife Jocelyn, Tifton Pace, step granddaughter Melissa Thompson husband Todd, four step grandsons, one Great Grandchild Jarrod Black and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Buckner was preceded in death by her beloved husband George Buckner in 1995, Brother Gilbert Bass, step grandson Jammey Kent.
