  Notes	According to Martha Belle, her mother died when Martha was young and her grandparents raised her until she was old enough to be placed out as a servant in the home of a minister and his wife. She said she was placed out when she was about 8 years old. She married a Jones. He was a cooper according to family stories. Belle was living with her daughter Alice in Fresno when she died after a fall at the age of 88 on 14 Aug 1946.
