  Notes	Star-Ledger, 30 Aug 2006 Robert M. Bassett BASSETT, Robert M. ShopRite manager, 89, of Edison died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006, at home. Born in Warwick, R.R., on Nov. 20, 1916, Mr. Bassett lived in Bloomfield, East Orange and the Vailsburg section of Newark before moving to Edison in 1985 when he retired. He was the night manager for ShopRite supermarkets in East Orange for 20 years before retiring. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. Mr. Bassett was a Free and Accepted Mason with Masonic Lodge NO. 25 in Nutley. He was predeceased by his wife, Anita (Tooten) Bassett, who died in 1995. Mr. Bassett is survived by his daughter, Jayne Dann and her husband, Michael, of Edison; sons, Robert M. Bassett Jr. and his wife, Agnes, of Bloomfield and David L. Bassett of Caldwell; his grandchildren, John and his wife, Stephanie Bassett, and Jennifer Bassett, Sarah and Gretchen Dann and David Bassett. Private funeral services were held on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006, under the direction of the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords. Interment was in the Fairmount Cemetery, Newark.
