DEATH: Obituary in STAR VALLEY INDEPENDENT, Thursday April 22, 1937. "Mrs. Rose Reese, 21 of the U.P. Kern ranch 35 miles north of Kemmerer was killed Sunday [18 April] night when a gun her brother, Halbert, was examining, accidently discharged. Mrs. Reese was formerly Miss Rose Bassett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milo Bassett of Osmond. She was living with her husband Tex Reese, who is employed at the Kern Ranch. Funeral services were held in Osmond Wed., April 21 for Mrs. Rose Reese who was accidently shot Sunday evening at her home near Fontenelle. She lived only a few hours after being shot. She is survived by her husband and little daughter of Fontenelle and her family in Osmond."
