Avilda Mae Bassett Anglesey
Avilda Mae Bassett Anglesey, 87, died on Friday, August 15, 1997, in a local nursing home. She was born on April 26, 1910 in Mendon, Utah, a daughter of Milo Ammon and Camilla Rasmussen Bassett. Avilda married Lenord Leroy Anglesey on August 3, 1927 in Logan, Utah. He died January 22, 1979. She was an active member of the LDS Church serving in various callings and doing genealogical work. Avilda is survived by three sons and three daughters; Kenneth L. and Belva Anglesey, Las Vegas, NV; Lloyd R. and Evonne Anglesey, Willard, Utah; Leon R. and Ann Anglesey, Brigham, Utah; Darrell and Delila Leavitt, Kearns, Utah; Robert and Florence Toothaker, Ogden, Utah; and Linda Quevedo, Merritt Island, Florida; 20 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren; one brother, Marion Bassett, Lovell, Wymoing; and one sister, Fern Anglesey, Grant's Pass, Oregon.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Willard First LDS Ward Chapel, 80 West 100 North, Willard. Friends may call on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at Petersen Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham, and on Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. in the Willard church. Interment will be in the Afton Wyoming Cemetery.
