Mrs. Willard Bassett, 66, a lifelong resident of Savannah, died suddenly Monday evening, July 30, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Soule, on the Walcott-Butler road. She is survived by three other daughters, Mrs. Harry Hammond and Mrs. Hugh Everhart of Butler and Mrs. Robert O’Neil of Wolcott, and one son, Earl Bassett of Savannah. Funeral services were conducted at the home of her son Thursday at 2:30 o’clock. Rev. Forster Pryane, pastor of the Methodist church of South Butler, officiated. Burial was made in the Butler-Savannah cemetery.
