Lewis-Bassett
Mr. William Lewis and Mrs. Belle Bassett, both of Belmont, were united in marriage Monday, Aug. 15, at the home of the bride?s son, William Bassett, on Medbury avenue, in this village, in the presence of immediate relatives. Justice Homer D. Bliss performed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis will reside in Belmont.

Mrs. Belle Bassett Passes at Anglican Infirmary
Services Held Yesterday
Mrs. Frances Arabelle Lewis passed away Sunday night in the Angelica Infirmary where she had been a patient since January, 1947, as result of a fractured hip.
Mrs. Lewis was born on April 29, 1864, at Eldred, Pa., a daughter of Harvey and Electa (Mix) Spaulding, moving to Belmont with her parents when she was three years of age.
Deceased was twice married. In October, 1894 to Frank Bassett, who died in 1914, and on August 15, 1921, to William L. Lewis, who passed away in 1934.
Survivors are two sons, Leon M. Bassett and William H. Bassett, both of Belmont, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Mae Crawford, of Angelica.
Services were held yesterday afternoon at the home of her son, William Bassett. They Rev .Howard Kintner; pastor of the Belmont Baptist Church of which she was a member, officiated. Burial was in Forest Hills cemetery.
