Kathryn Barbara (Palmer) Bessette, 89, of Fall River, wife of 60 years to the late George H. Bessette passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016. In 1947 she began her employment as a bacteriologist for the City of Fall River. Barbara loved to have fun and could be found boating throughout MA and RI, skiing and snowmobiling in NH, and traveling to Florida. Barbara was at nearly every one of her granddaughter's soccer or basketball games. She and George always had front row seats! She leaves behind her daughter Kim Mercier and son-in-law Ken Mercier of Tiverton, RI, granddaughters, Kate and Kristin, great-granddaughter Madison, and brother, John E Palmer Jr. She also leaves behind her beloved animals, Nellie, Kit and Pop-eye. She was the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Murphy) Palmer. Private arrangements were entrusted to Auclair Funeral Home. Online guest book at AuclairFuneralHome.com.
