Mr. Bassett Dies Suddenly
Harold W. Bassett Sr., 67, of 277 Congress St. died suddenly yesterday at his residence. He had been under the care of a physician. Mr. Bassett had lived in Troy since 1948 and was an employe of Peterson and Packer Coal. Co. 15 years before retiring in 1951. The husband of the late Jessie Currie, he had been a member of the Teamsters Union and of Trinity Methodist Church of Troy.
Surviving are two sons, Harold W. Jr. of Troy and Francis O. Bassett of Schenectady; two brothers, Clyde of East Nassau and Pierson Bassett of Pittsfield, Mass.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held from the A.R. Fox and Son Funeral Home, Congress and 13th streets, Wednesday at 3 p.m., with Rev. Thomas Orr, pastor at Trinity Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Sand Lake Union Cemetery.

Funeral service Wednesday 3 p.m. from the A. H. Fox and Son Funeral Home Congress and 13th St., Troy. Interment Sand Lake Union Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday afternoon between 3 and 5 and Tuesday evening between 7 and 9 p.m.
