  Notes	Providence Journal, Sunday, August 8, 1982 George A. Bassett Sr. George A. Bassett Sr., 69, of 75 Bakers Creek Rd., a retired toolmaker, died Friday at Kent County Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Agnes A. (Dewey) Bassett. Born in Scituate, a son of the late George W. and Nettie (Cooke) Bassett, he lived in Providence many years before moving to Warwick 21 years ago. Mr. Bassett worked 30 years for B.B. Greenburg Inc., Providence, retiring in 1971. Besides his wife he leaves four sons, Robert A. Bassett of North Kingstown, George A. Bassett Jr. and Ronald T. Bassett, both of Warwick, and Dennis W. Bassett of Glocester; two daughters, Mrs. Carolyn V. Crosby and Mrs. Anne M. Johnson, both of Warwick; two brothers, Henry Bassett of Warwick and Robert Bassett of East Orange, N.J.; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
