Kenneth B. Bassett, 83, of Easton, formerly of Wolcott, N.Y., died Oct. 29 in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was the husband of Clara (Harper) Bassett, who died in 1998.
Born in Butler, N.Y., he was a son of the late Bernard and Mary (Thomas) Bassett.
Survivors: Daughter, Kathleen Nied of Easton; stepdaughter, Diane (Stottler) Elder, and stepson Richard Stottler Jr. , both of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews.

WOLCOTT, N.Y. - Kenneth B. Bassett, 83, died on October 29, 2002 in St. Lukes Hospital in Bethlehem, Pa. He was predeceased by his wife, Clara Harper Bassett in 1998; two brothers, Leo Bassett and Norman Bassett; two sisters, Rita Bassett and Magdalene Reeves. He is survived by his children, Kathleen (Herman F. ) Bassett Nied of Easton, Pa., Diane (Robert L.) Stottler Elder and Richard (Joyce) Stottler Jr., both of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday 6-9 p.m. at the Colvin-Robertson-Norton Funeral Home, 5925 New Hartford Street, Wolcott. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. at Wolcott Presbyterian Church. Interment in Butler Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society.
