Dolores (Provost) Bassett (Picture included)
Dolores (Provost) Bassett, 85, passed away on Saturday unexpectedly and was surrounded by her loving family.
Dolores was born in Newton Falls, NY and she worked over 30 years at the Newton Falls Papermill as Payroll Clerk. She resided most of her married life in Wanakena, NY. She loved Wanakena and the North Country. She was predeceased by her husband Edward Bassett.
Surviving are her sister Muriel Hawkins, and her sister-in-law, Lucille Adams. Dolores' children; Thomas (Nancy) Bassett, Karen (Chet) Remenschneider, grandchildren; Paul (Lauren) Bassett, Abbey (Gavin) Bertram, great-grandchildren, Ava, Thomas & Blake, along with many nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 1pm at the Wanakena Cemetery. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wanakena Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 113, Wanakena, NY 13695, in memory of Dolores Bassett.
