Mrs. Laura Bassett Buried At Fosterburg
Funeral rites for Mrs. Laura William Bassett, 78, wife of H. G. Bassett, retired Fosterburg merchant and farm, who lost her life in the tornado, were conducted Thursday at 2 p.m., in Gen funeral home by the Rev. F. M. Hedger, pastor of Grace Methodist Church, assisted by the Rev. Paul Tatman of Sycamore, Ill., and the Rev. LeRoy Hovda of Butte, Neb., both of former pastors at Fosterburg. Burial was in the Bassett family lot in Fosterburg cemetery.
Mrs. Merly Muessal, with Mrs. Harvey Challengsworth as accompanist, sang two hymns.
Pallbearers were Eugene Schippert, James Earl, Harold Pauol, John Manns, Harvey Challengsworth, and John W Gething.
