Helen B. ?Brown? Bassett (Picture included)
Helen B. "Brown" Bassett, 97, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on April 1, 2016. She had been an Executive Assistant and Office Manager. She was a charter member and organizer of Opportunity House, Bloomington, IN. Member of First Families of Tennessee and Mississippi. She was also a member of D.A.R. and several garden clubs and involved in numerous church organizations thru the Methodist Church. At the age of sixteen she entered college and received her degree from Jackson Business College.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Bassett, Sr. She is survived by her children, Sandra (Albert) Siegel, Clifford (Joyce) Bassett, Jr. and Pamela Neumann; brothers, Ray, Kenneth and Donald Brown, eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Noon with calling from 10:30 a.m. at Flanner and Buchanan-Broad Ripple. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
