Shirley was born October 14, 1927 in Tipton, Oklahoma. She later married and moved to Oklahoma City where she spent her days raising three very energetic boys. Shirley loved children so much that when her boys grew up and started families of their own, she took a job working for a Mother's Day Out assisting in the instruction and care of other children. She is preceded in death by her son, David Bass and daughter-in-law, Barbara Bass. She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Bass; sons, Ronald Bass and Dennis Bass; daughter-in-law, Debbie Bass; grandchildren, Von Bass, Zak Bass, Trish Bass, Joe Salinas, Sara Salinas, Mark Mize, Rayna Mize; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Demuth Funeral Home, 1145 W. Britton Road. Interment will be at Britton Cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK.
