Irene E. Lafleur-LaBonte
CHICOPEE – Irene E. (Bessette) Lafleur-LaBonte, 73, of 41 Ledger Ave., a tester for the former Fisk Uniroyal Co., died Friday in Holyoke Hospital. Born in Canada, she lived in Holyoke for 50 years before moving to the Aldenville section of Chicopee 11 years ago. She retired in 1951 and was a communicant of St. Rose de Lima Church. Her husband, Homer LaBonte, died in 1954. She leaves a son, Robert Lafleur of South Hadley; two daughters, Joyce LaBonte, with whom she lived, and Patricia Noyce of Casselberry, Fla.; two brothers, Rene Bessette and Roland Bessette, both of Easthampton; four sisters, Pearl Grover, Rita Tatro and Cecile Charette, all of Easthampton and Georgette Belanger of Southampton, and five grandchildren. The funeral will be Monday morning at St. Pierre Aldenville Funeral Home and in the church, with burial in St. Rose Cemetery.

Homer LaBonte
CHICOPEE ? Homer LaBonte, 83, of 41 Ludger Ave., retired machinist-mechanic for Baystate Mills, Holyoke, died Tuesday in a local rest home. Born in Brome, Quebec, he lived in Holyoke many years, and Chicopee 20 years. He was a communicant of St. Rose de Lima Church. He leaves his wife, the former Irene Bessette; a daughter, Joyce LaBonte of Chicopee, and sister, Blanche Rainville of Holyoke. The funeral will be Thursday morning at Arthur J. Brunelle Funeral Home and in the church with burial in St. Rose Cemetery.
