Old Fulton NY Post Cards
Earl R. Bassett, 76, of 32 West State Street, died last night Aug. 7, 1967 at Albany Veterans Hospital where he had been a patient 11 months.
He was born July 9, 1891, at Oakridge, Montgomery County,son of William and
Mary Stiles Bassett.
He was a retired knitting mill spinner.
Survivors are four sons, Nelson Bassett of Gloversvllle, Leon Bassett of Fultonville, Robert Bassett of Fort Johnson and George
Bassett of Fonda; four daughters, Mrs. Christopher Damlco of Canajoharle, Mrs. John Anderson of Fultonville RD, Mrs. Helen Schermerhorn of Stokey, Ill and Miss Gladys Bassett of Fonda; a brother, Arba Bassett of Utica; and grandchildren.

Earl Bassett, Johnstown Resident, Dies
JOHNSTOWN ? Earl R. Bassett, 76, of 32 State St., died Monday night at Albany Veterans Hospital where he had been a patient for 11 months.
Mr. Bassett was born at Oak Ridge. Prior to his retirement he worked as a knitting mill spinner. He was a World War I veteran.
Surviving are four sons, Nelson Bassett of Gloversville, Robert Bassett of Fort Johnson, Leon Bassett of Fultonville and George Bassett of Fonda; four daughters, Mrs. Christopher Damico of RD, Canajoharie, Mrs. John Anderson of Fultonville, Mrs. Helen Schermerhorn of Stokey, Ill., and Miss Gladys Bassett of Fonda; one brother, Arba Bassett of Utica; also several grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Lenz Funeral Home in Canajoharie. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda. The funeral home will be open this afternoon and evening.
