Was born in Hopkins county at Silent Run in 1864. He is a son of Esq. W.H. Sisk, one of the substantial citizens of the county. The subject of this sketch attended the common schools of the vicinity, and at the age of fifteen entered his father's store at Silent Run as a clerk. He came to Madisonville when seventeen and entered college, which he attended three years. In 1885, he bought W.L. Hall's stock of stationery and books, and has since conducted the business at the same stand with great success.
He has built up a considerable wholesale business in connection, and had made the business profitable. Being economical in his habits he has saved considerable and is in good financial condition. He was married to Miss Jessie Bassett, of this city, in 1886, and a few years since erected a nice, substantial residence.
