  Notes	"Newt" (per records of Helen Pierce Claxon). DEEDS 1846, 31 Oct, Heirs to James Claxon estate, David H., Sarah A., Cassius, James N., Nancy J. Claxon sold 2 tracts (one of 58 acres, the other of unknown acres but being the same sold by John Meek to James Claxon on 22 Jun 1843) on Ky River to John C. Bates (adm of James Claxon, dec'd) for $300 (Owen Co. Deed Book J, p 100). 1865, 15 Apr, D, C, JN, NJ Claxon and S Mullin (all James' heirs) leased 108 acres on Ky River to John H. Stewart (Owen Co. Deed Book Q, p 166). 1869,19 Mar, J. Newton & Nancy J. Claxon sold to T.W. Bates the "Ellen Claxon farm" of 108 acres on Ky River for $300 for J.
