Mary Helen Bassett
Mary Helen Bassett, 83, of Jensen Beach, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, at her residence.
She was born in Geneva, N.Y., and was a resident of Jensen Beach for 22 years.
She was employed by Pirates Cove Resort and also volunteered at martin Memorial Hospial. She was a member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church where she served as an usher.
She is survived by a son, John Bassett, of Modesta, Calif.
A Memorial Mass was held at St. Martin Ede Porres on February 8, and a reception immediately followed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Mayes Center for Hope, 1201 S.E. Indian St., Stuart, FL 34994.
Arrangements were handled by Ali Country Funeral Home & Crematory, 1010 N. Federal Highway, in Stuart.

Mary Helen Bassett
Mary Helen Bassett, 83, passed away on January 31, 2007, at her home in Jensen Beach, Florida. Born January 12, 1924, in Geneva, NY, she resided in the Syracuse area until the 1980s, when she moved to Florida with her sister. She worked as a secretary for Lyons Transportation and Interstate Motor Freight and also as a receptionist at Holiday Inn. She was a parishioner of St. Augustine's Church in molleru. Survivors: her son, John of Modesto, CA; two grandchildren; as well as two great-grandchildren. Graveside service at 2 p.m. Friday, June 1, in Assumption Cemetery, Court St., Syracuse.
