Claire LaFontaine
DANNEMORA – Claire LaFontaine, 67, died Tuesday, April 16, 1985, at the CVPH Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 2, 1917, the daughter of Arthur and Albina (Mosseau) Bessette.
Mrs. LaFontaine was a homemaker in Dannemora for many years.
She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, VFW Women’s Auxiliary and the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, all in Dannemora.
Survivors include her husband, Roger LaFontaine of Dannemora; one son, William R. LaFontaine of Cobbleskill, N.Y.; one daughter, Sandra A. Cooper of Milford, Mass.; two brothers, Clarence Bessette of Salsbury, Md., and William Bessette of Pensacola, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Clement (Marion) Giambruno of Indian Harbor Beach, Fla., and Mrs. James (Gloria) Ryan of Dannemora; and four granddaughters.
A brother, Francis Bessette, and a sister, Mrs. Bernard O’Connell, died earlier.
Calling hours will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the O’Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Dannemora.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Church in Dannemora.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
