Marian N. Gaimbruno
Plattsburgh — Mrs. Marian N. Giambruno, 86, of Lincoln Lane, Plattsburgh, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center with her family at her side.
She was born in Plattsburgh on Feb. 18, 1916, the daughter of Peter Arthur and Mary Albina (Mousseau) Bessette.
Marian was a graduate of the Champlain Valley Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1938 and Plattsburgh State University. She was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy as a nurse. Marian had been a public health nurse with Clinton County.
She enjoyed reading, arts and crafts. Marian was past president of the Ladies of the Elks, Plattsburgh Lodge 621.She made her home in Florida since 1969 and most recently returned to Plattsburgh.
She was predeceased by her parents, Peter Arthur and Mary Plattsburgh Bessette; her husband, Clement W. Giambruno; and several brothers and sisters.She is survived by a son, Robert Zuckerman and his wife Kathryna of Plattsburgh; three grandsons, Derek, Zachary and Michael; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kevin O'Brien, pastor of St. John's Church, officiating. Interment will be Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla.
