Thelma M. O’Connell
PLATTSBURGH – Mrs. Thelma M. O’Connell, 66, wife of Bernard O’Connell of 62 Lynde St., died at Saranac Lake General Hospital Thursday morning.
She was born in Plattsburgh Feb. 13, 1913, the daughter of the late Arthur and ALbina (Mousseau) Bessette.
She was a saleslady, having worked at Shubert’s Ready to Wear on Margaret Street and Kassel’s Store on Margaret Street.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Francis of the Air Force in Tucson, Ariz., and Mark of Loon Lake; two grandchildren, three brothers, Clarence Bessette of Salisbury, Md., Francis Bessette of Hollywood, Fla., and William Bessette of Pensacola, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Clement (Marion) Giambruno of Orlando, Fla., Mrs. Roger (Claire) Lafontaine of Dannemora and Mrs. James (Gloria) Ryan of Dannemora, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be at the Brown Funeral Home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in St. James Cemetery in Cadyville.
