- BIOGRAPHY:
"My great uncle, Peter Sailor married Martha Jane Bassett 29 Jan, 1863 in Ripley County Indiana. They are burried in the West Fork Cemetery near Rexville. Their daughter Elizabeth married Stephen Shidler 1892 in Shelby County Indiana.They have a grand daughter in Burbank Ca. a Mrs Jacqueline Meyer. That's all I have for now, but I'm still looking.
While in Ripley County Indiana a few weeks ago I came across a Josiah Sailor, 11th child of Jane Bassett , father Peter Sailor. My sister and I are still looking around here and found part of the farm that Peter and Martha Jane Bassett inhearted from David Sailor Sr. in 1892. Corn fields and woods now. I'll let you know whenever we come up with anything new.

On the 3rd day of March 1863 the following certificate was filed in my office, to-wit: State of Indiana, Ripley County,ss: H.D. Brown, Justice of the Peace herby certify, that on the 1st day of Feby A.D. 1863, I durly joined in Marriage, Peter Sailor and Martha Jane Bassett by authority of law and a License from the Clerk of the Ripley County Court.
Given under my hand, this 3rd day of March A.D. 1863.
