Patricia Mary Bassett
December 8, 1933 ? May 22, 2017
Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother & Friend Patti passed away May 22nd in her home from cancer.
Patti was born in Willamina, Oregon to Murry Benton Leslie and Ethel Mae (McKinley) Leslie. From childhood Patti knew she wanted to be a Nurse. Patti graduated from Sacred Heart Nursing School 1st in her graduating class. Patti worked all of her nursing career at Sacred Heart Hospital. Patti was well known for the excellent care she gave her patients, neighbors and family. Even throughout her illness Patti was concerned about the care of others.
On December 18, 1954 Patti married Leslie Buddy Bassett in Drain Oregon. Patti is survived by her son and daughter in-law Mike and Paula of Elmira, daughter and son-in law Dianna and Royal of Renton, son and daughter in-law Brian and Cole of Vernonia. Patti is survived by brother Murry of Drain, sisters Gladys of Willamina, and Wilma of Lincoln City. Patti is also survived by 7 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren. Patti was preceded in death by her Father, Mother, Husband, Brothers Marvin and Albert Leslie.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday June 3rd starting at 11:00am, 4245 Willhi Street Eugene. Lunch will be provided.
The Family would like to thank Healing Spirits 1355 Oak Street, and Peace Health Hospice 677 E 12th Ave, Suite N-200 for the excellent care they gave our Mother. Hospice nurses are angels. Donations can be made to either of these organizations in Mom's name.
